Nigerian human right activist and lawyer, Reno Omokri, has called out the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari for wearing what he described as ‘trousers that look like what he did to the Nigerian economy’ to the inauguration ceremony he attended in Imo State today, 9th September 2021.
President Buhari who was received amidst cheers in Owerri, was present to Inaugurate Projects in Imo State, East-Central Nigeria.
A picture from the event showed the 78-year-old head of state standing at attention and dressed in the typical Eastern Nigerian attire.
However Reno Omokri who describes himself as a #TableShaker and #BuhariTormentor, wasn’t having the appearance as the trouser seemed to have critically offended him. He posted the picture on Instagram with the caption:
Dear General Buhari,
Look at the trouser you are wearing. Whoever gave you this trouser to wear is a coward. That person does not like you. But, unlike the average Igbo man in the Southeast, the person does not have the guts to say it to your face. Hence, he or she chose to show it to you by giving you trousers that no person would voluntarily choose to wear.
Was it Kyari the tailor that sewed this trouser for you? Even you, how would someone present this trouser to you and you agree to wear it? Where is your judgment? Trouser that looks like what you did to the Nigerian economy? Even prisoners wear better trousers than this. Trouser that looks like what a plumber sewed. Honestly, Buhari you could have done better! #TableShaker #BuhariTormentor
