The Ministry of Health and Population in Egypt reported 871 new Coronavirus cases, 43 deaths, and 951 recoveries on Monday.
The latest figures bring the number of total reported cases to 364,033, with 20,770 deaths and 302,259 recoveries.
As of the end of July, the country was experiencing its fourth wave of the virus, with daily case numbers ten times higher than before.
According to the Health Ministry, official figures likely only represent 10 per cent of actual cases.
The Supreme Committee for the Management of Coronavirus Crisis in Egypt lifted some COVID-19 restrictions back in June, but is considering reinstating some.
On November 15, the government banned all unvaccinated employees from entering any government facility, and unvaccinated students from entering universities, as well as prohibiting unvaccinated citizens from entering any government facility by December 1.
The government has announced that all university students will have to be vaccinated to take exams at the end of the current academic year’s first semester.
According to the Health and Population Ministry, a total of 41,939.792 coronavirus doses have been administered in Egypt so far.
In total, 27,485,140 people received the first dose and 14,454,652 received the second dose of the vaccine.
The Egyptian government has so far succeeded in providing all types of vaccines against Coronavirus.
Vaccination campaigns were launched in January for priority groups and later for university students.
