South African Professional Tennis Player Kevin Anderson faces Roger Federer in the Miami Open quarter final going down today.
Anderson had defeated Federer in the 2018 Wimbledon Championships even though that was Federer’s first loss to Kevin in six meetings.
Anderson beat Australia’s Jordan Thompson 7-5 7-5 to reach the quarter-finals in Miami.
Federer stays confident to win the quarterfinals but also commend Anderson great service skills
“Kevin is a great player, he’s got one of greatest serves in the game at the moment,” says Federer.
“American hard courts are his cup of tea, but I’m playing well and I hope I can bother him.” Federer stated acclaiming his latest form.
As of 11 February 2019, Anderson ranked world No. 5 in men’s singles according to the Association of Tennis Professionals. He became the top-ranked male South African player on 10 March 2008 after making the final at the 2008 Tennis Channel Open in Las Vegas.
The question today is, can Anderson pull this off?
