One person has been confirmed killed by gunmen at the Tembisa Hospital in South Africa. Confirming the report, anti-crime activist Yusuf Abramjee also tweeted on Wednesday morning that there had been a shooting at the hospital.
Head of Communication at the Gauteng department of Health Motalatale Modiba said
the department would like to advise members of the public who need to access health care services at the Tembisa Hospital today to visit nearby health facilities. Details of the incident are still sketchy as of the time of filing this report.
Security operatives have arrived at the scene and are currently combing the area with a view to arresting the assailants.
