Policemen of Sidi Bernoussi in Casablanca in close coordination with the General Directorate for Territory Surveillance (DGST), seized Tuesday morning, 18,010 psychotropic tablets and ecstasy pills on board a truck transporting goods.
This security operation led to the seizure of the drug immediately after its arrival at the entrance to the Casablanca ring road. According to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), adding that the searches of the truck led to the discovery of 18,000 “Rivotril” tablets and 10 ecstasy pills, carefully concealed in the cabin of the vehicle.
The suspect was taken into custody pending the investigation carried out under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office.
This operation is part of the intense and continuous efforts made by the security services to fight against drug trafficking operations at the national and international levels, the release points out.
