President Filipe Nyusi of Mozambique has sacked six ministers, including the finance minister, in a dramatic cabinet reshuffle announced by his administration.
The announcement was made in a statement that provided no explanation for the ministers’ departure or a timeline for when the seats would be replaced.
It’s the cabinet’s second dramatic reshuffle in as many months.
Ministers of natural resources and energy, fisheries, inland waters and fisheries, public works, housing, and water resources were among those fired.
It should be recalled that President Nyusi fired and replaced the defence and interior ministers in November.
