‘A Slap on the Face of Democracy’ – Rhodes-Vivour Rejects INEC Results

Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the Labour Party of Nigeria’s candidate for governor of Lagos State, has disapproved of the results of the gubernatorial election that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is announcing.

The Labour Party’s candidate for governor claimed that the commission’s preliminary results do not accurately reflect what happened at the various polling places throughout Lagos State on March 18, 2023.

On Sunday, Rhodes-Vivour posted a sequence of tweets on his Twitter page expressing his displeasure. He also thanked Lagosians for voting for the Labour Party in spite of the intimidation.

Collusion between the ruling party and electoral officials to return the candidate of the APC is a slap on the face of democracy and everyone who came out to vote for us on Saturday.
