A 25-year-old motorcyclist, Muhammad Dahuru, has died following a road accident along Olomore Housing Road in Abeokuta.
The crash, which occurred around 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, involved a Toyota Camry with the number plate Lagos SMK 303 BX, driven by 45-year-old Ayodeji Oyedele. Also involved were two motorcycles, ridden by 29-year-old Ajayi Yusuf and Dahuru, as well as a tricycle driven by 36-year-old David Samuel.
Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer Omolola Odutola confirmed the incident on Monday, stating that while Dahuru lost his life, three others sustained injuries.
She reported that the injured victims were treated and discharged from Daverose Hospital in Olomore, Abeokuta, while Dahuru’s remains were handed over to his family for burial in accordance with Islamic rites after being confirmed dead by a medical doctor.

“The Ogun State Police Command received a tragic incident involving multiple car crashes leading to the death of one person,” Odutola said.
She explained that the accident involved a Toyota Camry, two motorcycles, and a tricycle.
“Unfortunately, one motorcycle rider, Muhammad Dahuru, 25 years, lost his life, while three others sustained injuries.
“The injured victims are David Samuel, 36, the tricycle rider; Ajayi Yusuf, 29, a motorcycle rider; and Balogun Lekan, 50, a pillion passenger.”
Odutola attributed the accident to reckless and dangerous driving by the Toyota Camry driver. She added that the suspect had been taken into custody, and further investigations were underway by the Motor Traffic Division of the Ogun State Police Command.
The command assured the public that justice would be served and urged motorists to strictly adhere to road safety regulations to prevent further tragedies.
