The Abia State Police Command has demoted Corporal Okonkwo Ebuka to the rank of constable for unprofessional conduct and incivility toward the public.
In a statement on Tuesday, police spokesperson Maureen Chinaka confirmed the decision followed an administrative review where the officer was found guilty of discreditable behaviour.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Danladi Isa, also disbanded the Command’s Anti-Cultism Unit for similar unprofessional conduct, aligning with efforts to build a people-friendly and competent police force.
The CP reiterated the Command’s zero-tolerance stance on actions that could tarnish the Force’s reputation.
