Access Bank Plc has dismissed claims regarding the disappearance of funds amounting to N500 million, as well as accusations of unethical conduct by the Bank.
In a statement released on Sunday, Access Bank addressed a video circulating on social media that contained allegations of missing funds and unethical practices associated with it.
“First and foremost, we want to highlight that the security of our customers’ funds is a top priority for us, which we take very seriously. Additionally, Access Bank Plc does not tolerate or participate in any unethical practices. In this particular instance, the assertions about missing funds within the Bank are completely false and unfounded.
“There is no N500 million or any other sum missing from the account in question or from the accounts of any other customers with us. Our Bank, along with other independent entities in the banking sector, has conducted a thorough investigation into these claims and has reached the same conclusions on their own.
“Access Bank PLC adheres to the highest ethical standards, ensuring the protection of our customers’ interests while also honoring privacy regulations. As a result, while we have interacted and will continue to engage with our customers, we must caution the public not to trust or believe sensationalized and unverified accusations that aim to capture attention and mislead the audience,” the Bank said.
