Nigerian singer and Songwriter, Adekunle Kosoko, popularly known as Adekunle Gold and more recently AG baby, has released his highly expected third album titled Afropop Volume 1. Afropop Volume 1 has 10 tracks which plays for 29 minutes, with tracks like, “My ex”, “Sabina”, “water carry me”. The album was released under EMI Records with licensing from Universal Music Operations Limited.
Adekunle Gold rose to prominence after releasing his first-ever song “Sade”, a cover of One Direction’s “story of my life “ in 2014, and has since been seen to be a very distinct singer, who has not failed his fans for once with his vibes and music.
Recently, Adekunle Gold has improved his style of music, his fashion and rebranded his name, as he now calls himself AG baby.
No doubt, 2020 has been a very good year for AG baby, as he became a father, and released a track “something different” that really hit differently truly, and deviated from the normal way he would have sung his alternative music. “Something different” is a banger and made it to his just released album.
His first two albums; “Gold” and “about 30” has made Adekunle Gold a multiple award winner. Afropop Volume 1 would not be any different, as it features other Nigerian talents like Tekno, Patoranking and Olayinka Ehi. Some tracks in Afropop Volume 1 were released as lead single, a track like AG baby which features Nailah Blackman.
