The Osun State Government has authorised a new minimum salary of N75,000 for civil officials. However, the payment of arrears and implementation date are unclear.
Kolapo Alimi, the Commissioner for Information, revealed that Governor Adeleke approved the new wage based on recommendations from a committee led by Chief of Staff Kazeem Akinleye and the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Chairman, Comrade Chris Arapasopo.
However, Alimi did not specify when the arrears would be paid or when the new minimum salary would take effect.
