The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has confirmed yet another collapse of the national grid, citing it as the reason for the power outage across the country.
The distribution company assured Nigerians that efforts were being made to ensure that power is restored in no time.
Taking to their official Facebook page, AEDC answered the questions that have been on the lips of Nigerians, following the power outage.
“Please be informed that the current power outage is due to a system failure from the National Grid. The system collapsed at about 6.49pm today 12th June, 2022, causing the outage currently being experienced.
“We appeal for your understanding as all stakeholders are working hard to restore normal supply,” said the management of AEDC.
The National Grid has suffered countless system collapses within the past few months, despite efforts to ensure its stability.
