Nigeria’s Super Eagles have been drawn in Group D of the AFCON 2025 qualifiers alongside regional rival Benin Republic, as well as Libya and Rwanda.
With a history of rivalry with Benin Republic, Nigeria will be looking to settle the score in this upcoming contest.
The draw, conducted in Johannesburg on Thursday, has placed Nigeria in Pot 1 alongside some of the top-ranked teams in Africa, thereby avoiding other 11 football heavyweights including Ghana and host Morocco.
