The International Federation of Football Association (FIFA) has released its monthly football ranking at the organization’s Headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland.
In the new ranking, Senegal tops the continent as the country maintains her 20th position from October’s ranking.
Tunisia gained 2 points to advance to the 27th position this month from her 29th place last month.
Nigeria made the greatest progress among the 3 African giants at the top. Nigeria moved 4 steps up from October’s 35th position to 31st place in the November ranking. It is also the greatest leap the country has made in recent times.
Here are the top 10 ranked African teams on the table and their world rankings.
Nigeria’s victory against Benin Republic and the Crocodiles of Lesotho most likely earned her the new position.
Algeria garnered 3 more points to move from her 38th place in the world ranking in October to 35th in November. The Desert Foxes of Algeria sits at 4th position in Africa.
Morocco dropped 1 point to clinch the 43rd place on the FIFA ranking table and 5th in Africa.
The Black Stars of Ghana gained 4 points to move from 51 to 47 in the FIFA world ranking.
Egypt at 51st position, Cameroon and Mali at 53rd and 56th respectively, alongside Congo DR completes the list of top 10 ranked African countries.
The next FIFA rankings and the last for 2019 will be released on 19 December.
