Africa’s finest stars were in action in the UEFA Champions League last night with three players finding the net for their respective teams.

In Istanbul, Senegalese forward Kreppin Diatta curled home a late equalizer deep into injury time to give Club Brugge a 1-1 draw against Galatasaray. He was subsequently sent off after receiving a second yellow card for taking off his shirt in celebration.

In London, Serge Aurier scored the third goal for Tottenham Hotspur as the Londoners recovered from a two-goal deficit to beat visitors Olympiakos 4-2. The Greek side had taken a shock lead after only six minutes when Moroccan striker Youssef El-Arabi fired home a low finish.

Matchday 5 continues tonight with Liverpool expected to welcome back Mohammed Salah from injury when they host Napoli at Anfield.

Zambian duo of Patson Daka and Enoch Mwepu should be on duty when Red Bull Salzburg battle hosts Genk who will depend on Tanzanian striker Mbwana Samatta, while Victor Osimhen is expected to be fit for Lille’s match against Ajax who parade Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana and Moroccan midfielder Hakim Ziyech in their ranks.
