Airtel Nigeria, a telecommunications business, has announced the addition of two directors to its executive leadership team.

The organisation appointed Harmanpreet Singh Dhillon as Director of Network Transformation and Planning and Kemi Ariyo as the new Director of Information and Technology.

Both appointments, in the opinion of Airtel, are expected to usher in a new age of innovation and expansion for the company.

Carl Cruz, the Chief Executive Officer of Airtel Nigeria, commented on the appointments, saying that the company is happy to promote an outstanding female leader within its ranks to the position. Kemi Ariyo, who has significant experience, will be instrumental in leading Airtel Nigeria’s efforts to undergo digital transformation.

Cruz claimed that Harmanpreet will be in charge of the telecom giant’s network transformation activities, which are intended to strengthen its infrastructure and guarantee consistent services for users.

“We are thrilled to welcome Kemi and Harmanpreet on board. Their in-depth expertise and experience will be invaluable in driving our technological transformation and delivering exceptional experiences to our over 60 million users. We are confident that, with their experience and expertise, Airtel will continue to innovate and stay ahead while developing cutting-edge solutions to meet the evolving needs of our customers,” Cruz said.

Harmanpreet Singh Dhillon has over 23 years of solid background expertise in the telecommunications sector and a strong desire to promote technology.

Prior to joining One Airtel in Karnataka, India, he held a number of positions with various companies, including Vodafone, Nokia, and Huawei. As chief technology officer at One Airtel, he was in charge of the networks team’s technology strategy, forecasting, expansion, operations, cost optimisation, and capex planning.

In addition, Kemi Ariyo has a demonstrated history of delivering technical solutions focused on service effectiveness, customer satisfaction, and business profitability. She also adds years of cross-industry and cross-continental career expertise to the IT value chain.

Her involvement with Airtel began during her time as a Business Operations Analyst working for IBM’s management service. From there, she advanced into a number of leadership positions until officially joining Airtel in 2017.

The first round of staff promotions for Airtel’s fiscal year 2023–2024 had just been finished.

Three of the 20 employees promoted during this promotion cycle were women, and one of these women was given the opportunity to advance to the post of vice president.
