Algeria recorded their second successive 2-0 victory over Rwanda in a friendly match on Monday, wrapping up a positive international break ahead of their 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign.
Playing in Blida, the Desert Foxes missed an early opportunity to go ahead when Berkane Redouane saw his penalty saved.
However, Adil Boulbina eventually opened the scoring five minutes before the break. Substitute Naoufel Khacef then sealed the win with a second goal in the 71st minute.
Algeria currently top their World Cup qualifying group, three points clear of Mozambique. Victories at home against Botswana and away to Guinea in September would significantly strengthen their bid for a fifth appearance at the global finals.

Rwanda, still chasing their first World Cup qualification, sit second in a separate group, five points adrift of leaders South Africa with four matches remaining.
Elsewhere, Uganda managed to restore some pride after a heavy 4-0 loss to Cameroon last week, drawing 1-1 with the Gambia in the Moroccan town of Berrechid. Rogers Mato gave Uganda the lead in the 25th minute, but Hibernian midfielder Alasana Manneh equalised from the penalty spot just before halftime.
Meanwhile, Kosovo enjoyed a 4-2 home victory over the Comoros in Pristina. Sparta Prague striker Albion Rrahmani netted a hat-trick, with Fisnik Asllani also getting on the scoresheet. Comoros had taken the lead through Said Bakari, while Rafiki Said added a late consolation.
