Hollywood actress, Shelley Duvall is dead.
The 75-year-old reportedly died in her sleep from diabetes complications at her home in Blanco, Texas on Thursday.
Confirming her death, her partner, Dan Gilroy said, “My dear, sweet, wonderful life partner and friend left us. Too much suffering lately, now she’s free. Fly away, beautiful Shelley”.
Shelley Duvall’s professional journey began with her appearance in the 1970 dark comedy ‘Brewster McCloud.’ She earned the Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival for her performance in the 1977 drama ‘3 Women.’
In 1980, she played the character Olive Oyl in Robert Altman’s musical adaptation of ‘Popeye.’
She experienced a decline in her Hollywood career and remained away from the spotlight for two decades before her resurgence in the movie ‘The Forest Hills’ in 2023.
She was recognised for her roles in ‘The Shining’, ‘Annie Hall’, and ‘Nashville.’
