Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has stated that his team must make additional time on the training ground count following a poor run of Premier League losses.
The Red Devils are 15th in the table ahead of Saturday’s game against Everton.
Amorim has only won four of his 14 league games since taking over, while United has lost eight of its last 12.
The Portuguese believe his players are improving in training, owing in part to two free midweeks in the last fortnight, and he has urged them to build on that in matches.
“What I see in training is that they are improving and building relationships,” he stated during his pre-match press conference on Friday.

“Even the sounds of the training differ. We need to incorporate that into the game and take action based on what we see. We’re bonding, and we know how we want to play, but we struggle a lot in the game.”
Amorim’s hopes of winning again have been enhanced by the return of Christian Eriksen, Manuel Ugarte, and Leny Yoro for United’s final visit to Goodison Park.
However, Amad Diallo, Kobbie Mainoo, Mason Mount, and Luke Shaw remain on the injured list.
United’s best chance of returning to the Champions League next season is to win the Europa League.
On Friday, Amorim’s team was drawn against Real Sociedad from Spain in the final 16.
The first leg is less than two weeks away, but the former Sporting Lisbon manager insisted that his priority was to right the ship in the Premier League.
“If I see our performances and focus on Real Sociedad or think about trophies at the moment, it is not the right way to do my job,” said Amorim. “I just want to win against Everton.”
