The Ondo State Security Network Agency (Amotekun Corps) has arrested 28 suspects for various crimes across the state, including a 55-year-old serial rapist, Ayodele Ijidakinro, who recently completed a three-year jail term for a similar offence.

Suspects and Crimes
Parading the suspects at the Amotekun headquarters in Akure, Commander Adetunji Adeleye disclosed:
- 24 suspects were arrested for breaches of law and order.
- 1 suspect was detained over a herders/farmers clash.
- 3 suspects were apprehended for kidnapping in Akure, Emure, and Upeme-Owo.
- Adu Ojo, an alleged ATM fraudster, was arrested for trapping victims’ cards and draining their bank accounts.
- Idris Umaru was caught for illegal grazing and using underage herders.
- Others were held for rape, burglary, and theft.
Serial Rapist’s Confession
Ijidakinro, who was released in February 2023, admitted to raping three women but denied involvement with six other accusers. One victim recounted how he lured her into the bush, overpowered her, and raped her.
Commander Adeleye confirmed that all suspects will be profiled, with those found guilty charged in court.
