A joint operation led by the Nigerian Police Force successfully dismantled a criminal camp in Nimo, Njikoka Local Government Area, Anambra State, early Tuesday morning.
Police Public Relations Officer Tochukwu Ikenga revealed on Sunday that the team included the Military, Civil Defence, and Anambra Vigilante operatives. The raid was based on credible intelligence and information obtained from suspects in ongoing investigations.
Commissioner of Police Nnaghe Obono Itam praised the collaboration between security agencies and the public, emphasising the importance of continued cooperation to ensure safety during the festive season.
He urged hospitals to report any individuals presenting with bullet wounds or suspicious injuries to the nearest police station, a measure critical to tracking fleeing suspects and preventing further crimes.
The Anambra Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a peaceful yuletide season through sustained patrols and targeted security operations.
