Ansaru Militants Incite Residents Against Kaduna Government

Ansaru Militants Preach Rebellion Against Kaduna Government (News Central TV)

Members of the Ansaru terrorist group on Tuesday incited residents in the Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Northwest Nigeria, as part of their activities to honor the Eid-el-Kabir festival.

The Militants were seen persuading locals to adopt a religion that rejects democracy, formal education, and deference to established authority.

The terrorists, this time interacted with the locals and encouraged them to obtain weapons and launch a rebellion against the government, in contrast to what they did during the Eid-el-Fitr festival a little over two months ago, when they simply went around communities and shared candies and other edibles as Sallah gifts. They also reassured them of protection against bandits.

The terror organisation, according to sources, blasted the government of President Muhammadu Buhari, claiming that it had failed to defend the lives and property of the populace. It also advised the populace not to fall for the call to bring about change through any election process.

Since Eid el-Kabir Sallah day (Saturday), the terrorists had been preaching their anti-government and anti-democracy views without hesitation.

On Monday, they traveled to the villages of Damari, Unguwar Gajere, Kakini, Kuyello, and Kwasa Kwasa in Birnin Gwari LGA.

News Central gathered that the terrorists, who are mostly young men, moved on dozens of motorcycles decked with flags with Arabic inscriptions,” one of our sources said.

Recall that News Central had reported two months prior that Ansaru terrorists had taken over numerous villages in numerous LGAs in the states of Kaduna, Katsina, and Zamfara.

By taking on various bandits and, in some cases, using persuasion to win them over to their side, they have continued to become stronger.

It was discovered that they had distributed hundreds of pamphlets to persons who had come to hear their sermons during their travels to numerous areas over the course of the previous three days.

Ansaru split from the Abubakar Shekau-led Boko Haram in 2012. They were formerly known as Jam’atu An’ril Muslimna f’ Bildis Sdn.
