The General Secretariat of the Arab League has voiced strong opposition to any steps that could threaten Sudan’s unity or lead to its division.
In a statement issued on Friday, February 21, 2025, the organisation reaffirmed its commitment to resolving the Sudanese crisis while upholding the country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national institutions.
The warning comes as Sudan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs recalled its ambassador to Kenya, Kamal Jabara, in protest against Nairobi’s decision to host meetings involving the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia and its allies.
Sudan denounced the move as hostile, accusing Kenya of encouraging African nations’ division and violating principles of good neighbourly relations.

Khartoum further described Kenya’s actions as a declaration of hostility against the entire Sudanese people and urged the international community to condemn the meetings.
Meanwhile, the United Nations has warned that the creation of a parallel government in Sudan could further escalate the country’s ongoing crisis.
