Some yet-to-identified armed men have kidnapped Zacchaeus Michael, the caretaker chairman of the Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area (LGA) of Kogi State.
The incident occurred on Friday night along the Kaaba-Okene Road in the Kabba area of the state.
The kidnapping was confirmed by the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), William Aya, on Saturday.
Aya stated that the state Commissioner of Police, Bethrand Onuoha, has deployed officers for a search-and-rescue mission and assured that they are actively addressing the situation.
Sources, speaking anonymously, revealed that Michael was abducted along with some of his aides.
The authorities are seeking credible information to aid in their safe rescue and have urged the public to pray for their immediate and safe release, seeking divine intervention and protection during this critical time.
