A local resident, speaking anonymously, confirmed that the gunmen dragged Mrs Uruakpa from her vehicle and forced her into their red Toyota car before speeding away. The resident described the abduction as a shocking and unprecedented event in the area.

Dr Joshua Suleiman, Babcock University‘s Director of Communication and Marketing, acknowledged the situation on Friday, stating that he became aware of it the previous night. While a full report is still pending, university officials are actively gathering more details, he added.

So far, the Ogun State Police Command has not yet issued a formal statement addressing the incident.
