Arsenal secured their place in the Champions League quarterfinals after a 2-2 draw with PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday, sealing a dominant 9-3 aggregate victory. The Gunners now await a clash with either Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid in the next round.
Having demolished PSV 7-1 in the first leg, Mikel Arteta’s side had already done the hard work, making the return fixture at the Emirates a mere formality. Arsenal made seven changes from their weekend draw at Manchester United but still made a fast start, with Oleksandr Zinchenko opening the scoring in the sixth minute.

Former Tottenham star Ivan Perisic briefly pulled PSV level with a powerful strike, but Declan Rice restored Arsenal’s lead before halftime. The visitors salvaged some pride with a late equaliser from Couhaib Driouech, but it was too little, too late to change the outcome of the tie.
With Arsenal still chasing their first-ever Champions League title and their first European silverware since 1994, Arteta will be hoping his side can carry their momentum into the next round against one of Madrid’s giants.
