Arsenal football club forward Bukayo Saka has partnered with the organisation BigShoe to fund 120 life-changing surgeries for children in Kano State, Nigeria.
The Arsenal player, whose parents are both Nigerian, collaborated with the organisation to improve the lives of the children, who were all suffering from ailments such as inguinal hernias, umbilical hernias, and brain tumours.
“I feel blessed to be in a position where I can contribute to making the children’s lives easier and better through these surgeries,” Saka said of his collaboration with BigShoe.
So far, the Arsenal winger has four goals and six assists this season, with his team comfortably sitting at the top of the English Premier League. He is now in Qatar with the England squad, where they are preparing for their first World Cup 2022 match against Iran.
