Arteta Commits to Arsenal with New Three-Year Contract

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has reportedly agreed to a fresh three-year contract with the Premier League club, ending speculation about his future.

The 42-year-old has been leading the Gunners since 2019 and has guided them to consecutive second-place finishes in the league, but his previous contract had only 12 months remaining.

Arteta had urged calm about his contract status last month, emphasising that his attention was on the transfer window. His new deal comes Sunday before Arsenal’s upcoming Premier League match against London rivals, Tottenham.

Following his departure from a coaching position at Manchester City to replace Unai Emery at the Emirates, Arteta, a former Arsenal player, has secured silverware and restored the club as a challenger for the Premier League title.

He won the FA Cup in his debut season in charge, and the Gunners have finished as runners-up in the Premier League in the last two seasons, engaging in captivating title battles with champions Manchester City.

Arsenal is currently fourth in the table after two victories and a draw. They will begin their Champions League campaign next week against Atalanta.
