World number one, Aryna Sabalenka, has been voted the WTA Player of the Year after she clinched four titles during the 2024 season.
In January, the Belarusian successfully defended her title at the Australian Open, and in September, she triumphed at the US Open to capture her third Grand Slam singles title.
The 26-year-old also won at the Cincinnati Open in August and the Wuhan Open in October, making her the first woman to win the latter three times.
In October, she ascended to the top of the world rankings, displacing Iga Swiatek, who had held the position for almost a year.
This achievement is remarkable after missing Wimbledon due to an injury and not participating in the Paris Olympics.
She wrapped up the season with a win-loss record of 56-14 to win her maiden Player of the Year crown, succeeding Swiatek, who had won it for the last two years.
