Aston Villa has finalised the loan acquisition of forward Marcus Rashford from Manchester United till the end of the season, which also includes an option for a permanent transfer priced at £40 million.
According to sources from United, the arrangement ensures that Villa will cover at least 75% of Rashford’s salary with the club not incurring any loan fee.
In an Instagram post, Rashford expressed his gratitude to Manchester United and Aston Villa for facilitating this loan agreement.
“I would like to thank Manchester United and Aston Villa for making this loan deal happen.
“I was lucky to have a few clubs approach me, but Aston Villa was an easy decision – I admire how Aston Villa have been playing this season and the manager’s ambitions. I want to play football and am excited to get started.
“I wish everyone at Manchester United all the best for the rest of the season.”

After being benched for the Manchester derby in December, the England international said he was “prepared for a new challenge.”
Villa is also nearing a loan agreement for Spain midfielder Marco Asensio from Paris St-Germain.
In January, they secured Spanish full-back Andres Garcia from Levante and Netherlands forward Donyell Malen from Borussia Dortmund.
However, Villa sold Colombian striker Jhon Duran to Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League for £71 million and centre-back Diego Carlos to Fenerbahce for approximately £8.45 million.
