Gabonese striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a hat-trick as English side, Arsenal booked a place in the UEFA Europa League final after winning their semi-final second leg 4-2 away at Spanish club, Valencia.
Aubameyang’s hat-trick took him to 29 goals in all competitions and kept Arsenal’s hopes of playing in the UEFA Champions League next season alive.
The Gunners went into the game at the Mestalla holding a 3-1 lead from the first leg and conceded early on before the impressive Aubameyang levelled the scores before going on to score two more goals.
“We have learned from last season and this year, we didn’t make the same mistakes. Now we are through to the final.” Aubameyang said.
Arsenal travel to Burnley in their final English Premier League game on Sunday before they face Chelsea who eliminated Germany side, Frankfurt on penalties to set up an all English tie in the Europa League final to be staged in Baku, Azerbaijan on the 29th of May.
The winners of the UEFA Europa League are guranteed a place in the UEFA Champions League next season.
