Nigeria, the nine-time champions and Cup holders, say they are prepared to face the Lady Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire in the last qualifying round of the 2022 Women Africa Cup of Nations on Friday in Abuja.
The Super Falcons advanced to this round after a narrow 2-1 aggregate win over Ghana’s Black Queens. They will face the high-scoring Lady Elephants, who thrashed their Niger Republic counterparts 20-0 on aggregate in the previous round. The Lady Elephants’ team arrived in Nigeria on Monday.
