Title favourites, Liverpool got out of the blocks in good time to thrash a hapless Palace side featuring Ghanaian internationals, Jeffrey Schlupp and Jordan Ayew, Senegal’s Cheikh Kouyate, Ivory Coast’s Wilfred Zaha and Anglo-Nigerian Ebere Eze. The heavy presence of Africans was however nullified by yet another star performance from Egyptian, Mohammed Salah.
Salah and teammate and Senegal star, Sadio Mane both scored three goals in the drubbing. Guinean international, Naby Keita also featured in the game.
In Germany, the Liverpool connection continued as Taiwo Awoniyi, on loan from Anfield, continued his resurgence at Union Berlin. The former youth international scored against Borussia Dortmund to help his capital-based side to a victory over the Black and Yellow. It was Awoniyi’s 4th goal in 6 games. – High

Inter’s Morrocan international, Achraf Hakimi was on the scoresheet as the Nerazzuris defeated Spezia 2-1. – High
