The ‘19 & Dangerous’ crooner Ayra star has finally opened up in a recent interview about her collaboration with American heavyweight singer, Kelly Rowland. The Gen Z Nigerian musician for the cover interview of Flaunt Magazine spoke on her debut album and it’s deluxe version as well as its star-studded collaborations.
Speaking on the Bloody Samaritan remix, where the two incredible female singers delivered a stellar record, she revealed that while the original song hit No.1 her mom sent a video of Kelly Rowland enjoying one of her other songs ‘Fashion Killer’. She then went ahead to repost the video and appreciate Rowland in a personal message. She continued
“Two weeks after, she said she wanted to be on the remix of “Bloody Samaritan” and I was shocked she even knew the song. She recorded her verse and sent it to me a week after. I’ve had other remixes, but that one was just crazy ‘cause she went IN. It’s just the best remix I’ve ever had in my entire life.” She said.
Ayra recalled being shocked with her mouth open listening to the former Destiny Child member’s verse on the song. The remix of “Bloody Samaritan” with Kelly Rowland was released on September 28, with the visuals coming out a week after.
This interview comes after the Music industry ‘Sabi Girl’ was featured on former US President Barack Obama’s favorite music of 2022 playlist, for her hit song ‘Rush’.
