Bad Bunny Sued by Ex-Girlfriend Over Infringement (News Central TV)

Global sensation Bad bunny is in the news over his million dollar infringement lawsuit from his ex-girlfriend. The Puerto Rican Singer is being sued for USD $40m by his ex who alleged that he’s used a voice recording of hers without permission. 

The lawsuit claims that the alleged ex, Carliz De La Cruz Hernández’s voice and the phrase she came up with “Bad Bunny, baby” are being used without her permission. 

The two songs tangled in this infringement claim are hit record ‘Pa Ti’, which has more than 355m views on YouTube alone and more than 235m reproductions on Spotify. The 2nd song is ‘Dos Mil 16’ another successful record, with 60m views on YouTube and 280m reproductions on Spotify.

His ex girlfriends distinguishable voice is also alleged to have also been used for worldwide promotions across several media platforms. Reports say the said recording tape was made by Cruz as requested my Bad bunny during the early years of their relationship in 2015. The two have at different times called quits on their relationship but found their way back to each other.

The lawsuit acknowledges that, “Since then, thousands of people have commented directly on Carliz’s social media networks, as well as every time she goes to a public place, about the ‘Bad Bunny, baby.’ This has caused, and currently causes, that De La Cruz feels worried, anguished, intimidated, overwhelmed and anxious,” the lawsuit states.
