There was mid-noon pandemonium at the Kaduna International Airport as bandits and soldiers exchanged gunfire around the airport on Saturday afternoon.
The incident, which happened around 12:30 pm, according to sources, led to the temporary shutdown of the Airport.
Findings showed that an AZMAN aircraft at the Kaduna airport was scheduled for Lagos on Saturday, when the miscreants stormed the runaway forcing the officials of the airline and passengers to flee for safety.
Shehu NaAllah, a security official attached to the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), was shot dead when bandits struck on Saturday afternoon.
Our source explained that “One of the airport local staff working under NAMA was killed by the bandits but the aircraft was not affected because there was no invasion of the airport.”
