Bayern Munich strengthened their grip on the Bundesliga title race with a 3-1 comeback victory over Stuttgart on Friday, moving 11 points clear at the top with 10 matches remaining.
Goals from Michael Olise, Leon Goretzka, and Kingsley Coman ensured Bayern’s ninth win in 10 league outings, edging them closer to reclaiming the title from Bayer Leverkusen.
However, Leverkusen can narrow the gap to eight points with a victory against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.
The win gives Bayern a confidence boost ahead of their Champions League last-16 clash against Leverkusen in midweek.
Stuttgart started brightly and took the lead in the 34th minute through Angelo Stiller’s stunning long-range strike.
Bayern, however, equalised just before halftime when Olise latched onto a Leroy Sané pass, timing his run to beat the offside trap before slotting past goalkeeper Alexander Nübel.

Goretzka put Bayern ahead in the second half, dispossessing Stiller and muscling his way through the penalty area before finishing clinically.
Coman then sealed the victory in stoppage time, capitalising on Nübel being out of position.
“I enjoyed this one,” Bayern coach Vincent Kompany told DAZN. Asked about the title race, Kompany remained cautious: “We haven’t won anything yet, but we did plenty right today.”
Bayern’s celebrations were slightly dampened by an injury to Alphonso Davies, who limped off late in the match.
For Stuttgart, the defeat was frustrating, with Stiller acknowledging his costly mistake. “It feels bitter right now,” he admitted. “We’re making it too easy for teams to score.”
Bayern, who marked their 125th anniversary this week, remain on course to reclaim the Bundesliga crown after going trophyless last season for the first time in over a decade.
