Bayern Munich survived a late fightback from Holstein Kiel to secure a 4-3 win and extend their Bundesliga lead to nine points on Saturday.
Having led 4-0, Bayern seemed comfortable, but Finn Porath pulled one back for Kiel in the 62nd minute. The hosts appeared to be cruising toward the win, but Steven Skrzybski struck twice in stoppage time to threaten an unlikely comeback.
Bayern held on, and the full-time whistle was met with relief as they capitalized on Bayer Leverkusen’s match against Hoffenheim on Sunday to open up a significant gap at the top.
Bayern took the lead in the 19th minute when Jamal Musiala finished off a superb team move involving Joshua Kimmich, Michael Olise, and Musiala, marking his 10th league goal of the season.

The Bavarians continued to dominate the first half, with Olise and Aleksandar Pavlovic coming close from distance.
As the first half neared its end, Kingsley Coman delivered a cross from the left to Harry Kane, who scored from close range to make it 2-0 in added time. Kane then made it 3-0 early in the second half, scoring a header off a perfect cross from Raphael Guerreiro—his 55th goal in 50 league appearances, setting a new Bundesliga record.
Substitute Serge Gnabry added a fourth with a stunning volley after expertly controlling a high ball with his right foot. But Kiel responded with a beautifully executed goal from Porath, and in stoppage time, Skrzybski punished Bayern’s defensive lapses, scoring in the 91st and 93rd minutes.
Despite the late drama, Bayern limped over the line to secure the three points.
