Bayern Munich Target Victor Osimhen, Set to Replace Sadio Mane

Victor Osimhen: Bayern Set to Offer Sadio Mane Plus Cash for Striker (News Central TV)

Bayern Munich are reportedly said to be willing to pay at least €120 million for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, whom they believe is a better replacement for Robert Lewandowski than Sadio Mane. Osimhen has attracted the interest of several prominent European teams, including Manchester United, after scoring 21 goals in 24 Serie A matches and five goals in six Champions League games this season.

The German champions are said to be eager to make a huge offer to persuade Napoli to surrender their prized asset. Victor Osimhen has been considered the ideal successor for Robert Lewandowski, who departed Bayern Munich for Barcelona last summer.

Bayern Munich’s interest in Victor Osimhen stems in part from the failure of the Sadio Mane trade last year. The Senegalese forward was brought in from Liverpool to replace Lewandowski, but he fell short of expectations and never fit into the team’s strategies.

Furthermore, after Bayern’s Champions League defeat against Manchester City, Mane was embroiled in a locker-room confrontation with Leroy Sané, which resulted in a suspension and a large fine. Victor Osimhen is viewed as the ideal offensive end for the Bavarians’ game, as they require an excellent striker to lead the line.

Despite interest from Bayern Munich and Manchester United, Napoli is adamant about keeping their top attacker. The Serie A leaders are hoping to persuade Osimhen to stick with an ambitious project and a contractual change. Napoli sports director Giuntoli has already identified a potential replacement for Osimhen, but the club’s objective is to keep the Nigerian on the team in the long run.

It remains to be seen whether Bayern Munich’s hefty offer will be sufficient to convince Napoli to part ways with their prized asset.

Victor Osimhen Makes History in Napoli’s Champions League Loss to AC Milan

Victor Osimhen made history by scoring a late equalizer against AC Milan in the UEFA Champions league but it wasn’t enough to secure the victory for Napoli. Despite their efforts, Milan’s backline put on a defensive masterclass, resulting in a 1-1 draw on the night and a 2-1 win on aggregate.

Stefano Pioli’s team entered the match with a 1-0 lead from the first leg at San Siro and needed to avoid a loss at Diego Armando Maradona Stadium. Giroud gave them the lead in the second leg, and despite a late equaliser as Victor Osimhen makes history, the goal from the first leg was enough to advance them to the Champions League semifinals.
