Bayern's Kane Returns to Training, Eyes Dortmund Clash

Bayern Munich received a boost as star striker Harry Kane resumed training on Monday after recovering from an ankle injury, potentially setting the stage for his participation in the upcoming showdown against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.

In an official statement, Bayern confirmed that the 30-year-old forward completed an individual training session at the club’s training ground, marking his return to action.

Kane sustained the ankle injury during Bayern’s recent 5-2 victory over Darmstadt, forcing him to miss England’s match against Brazil. He subsequently returned to Munich for treatment following England manager Gareth Southgate’s announcement that he wouldn’t feature in the friendly against Belgium.

Despite his injury history, Kane has been a key figure for Bayern this season, having not missed a single league game and impressively netting 31 goals in 26 appearances.

While his availability for the Dortmund clash remains uncertain, Kane’s return to training signifies positive progress in his recovery.

Bayern, aiming for their 12th consecutive Bundesliga title, currently trail league leaders Bayer Leverkusen by 10 points with eight games remaining in the season.

Additionally, Bayern’s Champions League campaign sees them pitted against Arsenal in the quarterfinals, with the first leg scheduled for April 9 in London.

Moreover, Bayern received further good news as Raphael Guerreiro, Kingsley Coman, and Noussair Mazraoui also participated in individual training sessions on Monday after returning from their respective injuries.
