Belarus President Gives Zimbabwe Trucks and Tractors During Visit (News Central TV)

During a visit to Zimbabwe, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has offered the southern African country more tractors, combine harvesters, and trucks.

Belarus and Zimbabwe have close cooperation, particularly in agriculture, and Lukashenko stated that the offer to Harare was part of a farm mechanisation programme worth approximately $66 million.

The Belarus president, a staunch supporter of Russia, has arrived for a three-day state visit that began on Monday.

When asked if he felt obligated to increase support for Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine, Lukashenko told a news conference that Belarus would always be ready to help if needed.

Zimbabwe, like many other African countries, has not condemned Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, instead calling for dialogue.
