American singer Benson Boone not only received a Grammy nomination for greatest new artist, but he also created a viral moment.
When the singer of “Beautiful Things” took off his formal wear at Sunday’s ceremony, he showed off a form-fitting, sparkling blue jumpsuit that left little room for interpretation.
He repositioned the crotch of his costume towards the end of his performance and then thanked the audience for their thunderous cheers. There were some wide-eyed reactions from the audience to the move.

Following a flurry of comments on social media, Boone shared a picture of himself along with a message on his Instagram stories.
“I apologise for making such drastic adjustments to my jumpsuit on stage tonight; it was extremely constricting in some places,” he added.
Boone previously described attending the Grammys as “a fever dream” to Access Hollywood.
“It is insane,” he remarked. “I went to rehearsals and was just observing the small name tags of the people who would be attending. Being here tonight is the utmost honour.
Boone lost the Best New Artist prize to Chappell Roan, despite receiving strong accolades for his performance and special attention for his clothing change.
