It is that time of the year again where reality TV show, Big Brother Naija season 6 is back on your screens. The organizers of the show, Multichoice confirmed the new season in a press conference held today, Monday, July 19, 2021.
The new season will be headlined by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu who has been the host for 4 consecutive years.
The fan-favourite season will premiere with a difference this year with two opening ceremonies on July 24 and 25, 2021.
Alongside news of the show’s starting date, season six will also spot some surprising changes. Organizers say there will be no SMS voting as fans will now be able to vote for their favourite housemates for free on the official website and application. This is to allow more inclusive participation for fans outside Nigeria.
Speaking on the premiere of the show, Chief Executive Officer of MultiChoice Nigeria, John Ugbe said: “With each season of BBNaija we task ourselves on delivering great content that will take the excitement a notch higher and meet the entertainment needs of our customers. For this sixth season, we are pulling all the stops to give our customers a show like never seen before from Nigeria with end-to-end production best practices under global health and safety standards”.
The 10-week long reality TV show will follow the lives of strangers as they interact and compete with each other to win the grand prize of N90million worth of prizes, which is the biggest in reality TV show reward on the continent. Season 6 is billed to run for 72 days and will end on October 3, 2021.
