Multichoice Nigeria has revealed that the winner of the 2024 Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality TV programme would get N100 million in prize money.
Sunday, July 28 is the show’s premiere date, as revealed by MultiChoice’s executive head of content for West Africa channels, Busola Tejumola.
Tejumola announced during a press conference on Tuesday that the show’s debut will take place at 7 p.m. WAT on all Africa Magic channels.
The top prize winner of the programme would receive N100 million in addition to a brand-new SUV car, according to the organisers.
“After 71 days of game playing, on the 6th of October, 2024, a grand total of N100 million worth of cash and a brand new SUV will be won,” she said.
“Our grand prize this year is worth N10o million.”
The winner award for the 2023 edition is N20 million more than the N100 million. October 2023 saw Ilebaye Odiniya emerge victorious in the eighth season of All Stars, earning a grand prize of N120 million.
The ninth season’s auditions ran from March 27 to May 4.
Recall that, the organizers of the Big Brother Naija reality show has finally revealed the premiere date for Season 9.
The show’s promoters made the announcement on their official Instagram page late Friday night.
According to the images shared, the 71-day show is set to open on July 28, 2024.
“Two Journeys in One House” will be the theme of the 2024 Season 9 edition, according to the organisers. It says this:
“BBNaija Season 9 is HERE! This is a must follow Season! Get ready for double the drama, ships, and HUGE competition! Cameras 24/7 for 71 days. Don’t miss the premiere on July 28th at 7 PM WAT.”
According to reports, the organisers had earlier disclosed that the show will hold in July.
