Mali International Yves Bissouma scored for his Brighton & Hove Albion team in their 4-2 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park.
The 26-year-old, who was sent off in Brighton’s second league game of the season against Newcastle, fired in a superb strike from outside box in the 92nd minute, as they trailed Everton 4-1.
Everton opened the scoring through Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s header in the 16th minute. But Neal Maupay drew Brighton level in the 41st minute after an error from Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
Columbian defender Yerry Mina then restored Everton’s lead before halftime, heading in a cross from fellow countryman James Rodriguez who also scored twice for Everton in the second half. The first of which, came from an Alex Iwobi assist.
The Nigerian winger was brought on in the 25th minute as replacement for Richarlison after the Brazilian got injured.
The defeat for Yves Bissouma and Brighton means they have now lost three of their four league games this season – having already lost to both Chelsea and Manchester United – their only win (3-0) away against Newcastle.
Their next league fixture sees them travel to London to face Ivorian striker Wilfried Zaha and his Crystal Palace side on 18 October at Selhurst Park.
