Two days to the Presidential and Parliamentary election in Uganda, opposition candidate, Robert Kyagulanyi known as Bobi Wine has called for international attention on the country.
In a Zoom chat with the German Foundation for Africa, Berlin, Bobi Wine said the country needs the attention of the international community on the actions of incumbent President, Yoweri Museveni.
He said the conditions of peace and respect of human rights should be attached to the support given to countries. Bobi Wine said countries who disregard human values should not be granted aid.

He also spoke on the inability of the EU to get accreditation as election observers in the country, as he blamed the government of the day for blocking international and local observers.
In the chat which had German members of parliament in attendance, and was seen by many Ugandans, Bobi Wine expressed delight at the presence of the international media despite the hardball government played initially.
He said he expects brutality from the military and police but charged the people to use the camera as their weapon.
A German parliamentarian also weighed in on the situation and said there is a lack of interest in Africa. She said the stories coming out of Uganda need an urgent international reaction but has not generated enough so far.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Ugandan military raided Bobi Wine’s home, as they arrested his security guard and everyone in the premises. His closest associates and supporters have also been held, barely 48 hours to the election.
