Boko Haram militants killed four traders from Zandam village in the Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State, Northwest Nigera, on Sunday while they were traveling to a market near the Local Government headquarters.

Four died on the spot, while one was injured and rushed to a hospital in Katsina for medical attention. The traders reportedly ran into the terrorists who showed them no mercy on their way to the market.

The incident caused other villagers in the market to fear returning the village, believing the terrorists might ambush them.

Meanwhile, Abdullahi Ishaq, special adviser on security to Babagana Zulum, governor of Borno state, says Abubakar Shekau, ex-Boko Haram leader, had 83 concubines.

Speaking on Saturday in Maiduguri, the state capital, Ishaq said some terrorists who surrendered to the military disclosed the information on Shekau.

On November 5, News Central TV reported that about 24 Boko Haram terrorists were neutralised by Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) personnel from the 112 Battalion and 24 Task Force Brigade in Borno State’s Mafa-Dikwa axis.

During a coordinated fighting patrol with members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (JTF), the terrorists were eliminated.
