Bolt Driver Backtracks, Offers Apology to Abia Lawmaker

A Bolt driver, Stephen Abuwatseya, who was assaulted by Alex Ikwechegh, the House of Representatives member for ABA North/South in Abia State, during a package delivery, has issued an apology for his actions.

In a video message released on Thursday, Abuwatseya expressed remorse for provoking Ikwechegh and sought forgiveness from Nigerians.

He stated: “Hello, Nigerians. My name is Stephen Abuwatseya. Recently, I experienced a conflict with Rt. Hon. Alex Mascot Ikwechegh.

“I genuinely want to ask for his forgiveness for anything I may have said or done to incite such anger in him.

“I would like to remind Nigerians that we should not start dividing ourselves based on religion, ethnicity, or regions. Instead, we should come together, find ways to unite this country, and promote its progress.”
