Ugandan Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga has dismissed reports of a bomb explosion at Akamwesi Shopping Mall on Gayaza Road. “Not true. The team responded and got no harmful things. Just a bomb scare.”
The Mall is located in the vibrant Kyebando Suburb in Kampala.
Enanga said law enforcement agents dispatched to the location did not find any explosives.
Earlier, Uganda Red Cross Society (URCS) Spokesperson Irene Nakasiita said ambulances had been dispatched after receiving information about a likely explosion.
Few days ago dual bomb explosions were heard at Kapeeka central ward, Kapeeka town council around 9:00am.
